about

"Weiji" (危机) is the chinese word for "crisis", and is composed of two Chinese characters signifying "danger" and "change point".
This LP is sudden, intimate, nostalgic, and makes it as a snapshot of complex times for living, without trying to escape of the whole situation.
"Cachito" is a lofi lullaby, a cover from the famous vintage latin hit composed by Consuelo Velázquez and recorded/popularized by Nat King Cole. This is the song my mom always sing to me, and I wanted to do my rendition.
The cover picture for Weiji, was shot by my wife Yirlania Oviedo, at Beihai Park, Bejing, China. That trip was such an experience!

I would like to thank my wife Yir, and my pets Isidoro Austin and Richard Parker for their love and support. Also, says thanks to Vini and Pablito for helping me giving that cumbia some flavor, and Carlos "Gorilla Charlie" for help and guidance on some of the tracks on this project.
